Avocent DSView 3 Evaluation Guide

During the evaluation of the Avocent DSView 3, the following are a few key features to consider:

- Manage and access all your Avocent appliances (KVM over IP, service processor managers, console servers and intelligent power strips)

- Integration with VMWare infrastructure (ESX server and Virtual Center)

- Map CD-ROMs and other storage media to remote branch server using the Virtual Media support (when accessing KVM target through DSR KVM switches)

- Authenticate user permission against your existing internal or external authentication service, such as LDAP, Active Directory, NT Domain, TACACS+, RADIUS and RSA SecurID

- User log management

- Automated tasks (firmware upgrades, database backup, power control, etc)

- Exit macros: log out each user when a session window is closed

- Access rights per user/groups

- VNC/RDP access

- Third-Party power strip support (Server Technology)
