Avocent DSView 3 Dial-up settings

You can configure DSView 3 to dial to your Cyclades ACSs in case you loose the IP connectivity to it. The requirements are:

- DSView 3 side => Server where DSView 3 was installed must have a modem and an analog line connected to it.

- Cyclades ACS side => ACS must have a PCMCIA with analog line connected to it and dial-in has to be enabled.

With all this in place, log into DSView 3 with admin privileges and click on the ACS that you you want to dial to. It will give you the ACS Unit Overview:

In  this screen, click in Appliance Settings and Dial-up. You will have the dial-up configuration screen:

In this screen you have to:

- Enable Dial-up
- Choose the modem type you have connected to the server
- Phone number to reach the ACS
- PPP user name and password

Click save after doing all changes.

At this time, every time DSView looses communication with the ACS it will dial and the user won't even notice that.
