AlterPath™ KVM/net (KVM over IP)
The system administrator's ability to manage network infrastructures is contingent on immediate, hands-on access to their network
devices. AlterPath™ KVM/net (KVM over IP) puts network equipment at administrators' fingertips even if some of that equipment is
thousands of miles away. AlterPath KVM/net does this by providing virtual keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) access to each device
from a single workstation.
AlterPath KVM/net (KVM over IP) leverages your existing infrastructure, because there is no longer any need to impose physical
restrictions on the user due to cable lengths. As a result, the information available at the server's KVM interface (such as BIOS
access, POST and boot messages) can be accessible from anywhere in the world. This flexible system can easily pay for itself.
Security features include server-based authentication support for RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, Kerberos, NTLM, and Active Directory user access lists
per port and user access logging. Data center managers and system administrators can now manage their servers with greater control and
peace of mind.
Available in 16 and 32-port models that fit in 1U of rack space, the AlterPath KVM/net (KVM over IP) helps streamline remote access to servers throughout the IT infrastructure and includes the scalability and security features to accomplish this objective. Using the AlterPath KVM/net (KVM over IP) for server management decreases network maintenance costs while increasing efficiency and productivity.
