On July 1st, Avocent released the newest version of its DSView software. Some of the new benefits are:
- Save time and simplify set-up and configuration
- Increased integrated VMware environment support
- More device access and management options
- Enhanced power management with NEW Power Manager software
- Increased third-party KVM switches (support for Dell and HP KVM switches)
- New licensing structure

Is it possible to restart the Cyclades ACS web interface without rebooting the unit?
Yes. We've seen situations where an ACS was responding to pings, telnet and SSH connection but every time we tried to open a web session to it we got a time out error.
To restart the web interface all you need to do is to telnet or SSH to the unit and login as root. In the command prompt enter:
# daemon.sh WEB restart
Wait for 5 seconds and it should be ready to go.
