Fixing mouse synchronization in KVM over IP sessions

Mira Tidbits

Mouse synchronization is usually one of the biggest road blocks when deploying a KVM over IP solution.
The solution for this very common problem is to disable the mouse acceleration in the target server.
Some new KVM over IP solutions have now a feature called Automatic Mouse Synchronization. This allow you to use the solution without disabling the mouse acceleration.

You can learn how to disable the mouse acceleration in different Operational Systems here.

Measuring your data center's green power

Channel Partners

Recent Quocirca research shows that few data center managers know how much power their data centers are using - which makes it difficult for them to develop a well-constructed plan to optimize power consumption and enhance their "green" credentials.

You can read more about it here.

Ask your Mirapath Sales Rep how you can measure your power consumption.

Ask the Tech
VMware ESX VMotion question

It is my understanding that the VMotion network is needed for this feature to work. If I only have two ESX servers, can I connect them via crossover cable for the VMotion network? Or do I have to connect them both to the network switch?

Both scenarios will work. You just need to make sure that Virtual Center keeps managing these hosts and that both servers are connected to the same shared storage.
