On November 3rd, Avocent released the newest version of its DSView software. Some of the new benefits are:
- XenServer support
- User authentication through CAC/Smartcard readers
- User interface enhancements
- Single sign-on support for Kerberos in Windows environment

VMware announced its plans to develop a Virtual Data Center Operating System. VDC-OS will address customers’ needs for flexibility, speed, resiliency and efficiency by transforming the datacenter into an “internal cloud” – an elastic, shared, self- managing and self-healing utility that can federate with external clouds of computing capacity freeing IT from the constraints of static hardware-mapped applications.

What is the command to kill an active port session from the Cyclades ACS command line?
Two steps are required to kill a session. First you need to find out the PID of the session you want to kill, then, you kill that PID.
To find out the PID, enter the command “w”. It will list all the active sessions you current have in the ACS:
#[root@ACS5000-Mirapath root]# w
