Console Server Dilemma

Situation:

A customer was in search of a console server solution for their remote sites that provides out of band access to their network equipment. The customer has about 30 sites in the USA, Asia and Europe.

Solution:

Based on a customer's technical requirements and budget, Mirapath made two console server recommendations for its put of band implementation project of 35 international, remote sites. Based on our analysis of each solution, onsite demonstrations, and evaluation units, the customer chose the Avocent ACS6000 console server with dual power AC and internal modem.

Additionally, Mirapath provided international logistics in the delivery of the units to remote sites.

• Identified and provided international power cord requirements for sites located throughout Asia and Europe.
• Prepared commercial invoices.
• Calculated international freight, customs and duty charges.
