1. Plug in one C13 to Nema 5-15 power cord into power input feed #1
2. Plug the Cat5 cable labeled “SX Network” to the LAN 1 port on SX
3. Plug the phone cable labeled “SX Modem” to the telephone port on SX
4. Plug the Cat5 cable labeled “SX Console” to the Terminal port on SX
5. Turn on the switch below input feed #1
6. Turn on the laptop
7. Double click the shortcut “Raritan.exe” on the desktop
8. It will open a black screen. When it asks for the login enter “admin”
9. Enter: User Name = admin; Password = raritan. If it works go to step 11, if it doesn’t work go to step 10.
10. If it doesn’t work try User Name = admin; Password = rar123. Enter maintenance , factoryreset and answer yes to the question. Go back to step 9 after unit reboots.
11. It will ask for the new password. Enter “rhi” twice.
12. Enter the commands below. These commands are also listed on the file named “raritan sx.txt” on the laptop desktop.

  13.  Answer “Yes” when it prompts if you want to commit the changes. The unit will restart.

  14.  Wait until you see the user name prompt again and login as admin/rhi.

  15.  Enter the commands:

ethernetfailover enable false

  16.  Answer “Yes” when it prompts if you want to commit the changes. The unit will restart. Wait for the login 
        prompt to show up.

  17.  Open Hyperterminal located on desktop, labeled “modem.ht”. Click OK on the error message.

  18.  On the Hyperterminal window type at (it should give you an “ok” response)

  19.  Then type atdt112 (it should start dialing the modem, please wait)

  20.  Then some writing should come up with the opportunity to enter user name and password

  21.  Log on (Username: admin Password: rhi)

  22.  If it logs on successfully, then close your hyperlink

  23.  If it fails Repeat steps 17 to 22.
